DONT USE THEM!

I began my refinance on September 26, 2019. At the time I discussed this with Greg Hanlon, told him everything that I wanted to do with the refinance.

I was told that it would close around Halloween. Immediately I began sending in all of the paperwork that they required. Paid for an obtained the appraisal, checked the dashboard on a daily basis to ensure I was doing everything on my part to get this loan closed in a timely fashion. In past experiences with other companies it took 30-45 days max for a refinance.

I had put my son on the title of the house 2 years prior due to the fact that I am a widow, and wanted to be sure that he got the house with no issues in the case of my death. Of course I told Greg this and there was no issue. On October 18, I sent them an unrecorded quit claim that my son had signed. I never heard another word about it.

But, I never heard about closing, so I began calling after November 1. I received a call finally saying we were ready to close. Set a date and time. When I received the closing paperwork on the dashboard, I noticed that my sons name was on the title.

I e-mailed and called and told them we can just leave it like that and we changed the location for the signing to my sons work so that he could sign as well. 1 hour before closing I get a call that they wanted to cancel the signing. I immediately told them no, we were not canceling the closing and my son would be there. So, after a few minutes I was told OK closing would happen as planned.

I showed up at my sons work, and waited, after an hour past the closing time, I started calling to find out what was going on.

They said, Oh we cancelled that. I said we will not be cancelling and of course I started calling everyone that I had ever talked to. I told them if we cancel, we cancel the entire loan and I will go with someone else. Well, they found a signing agent, and 5 hours after our original closing at 11:00 pm she showed up to do the signing.

Of course this was all while I had guests and was preparing my house for an early Thanksgiving the weekend before Thanksgiving. Talk about stressful!

The entire time I was speaking with the loan agent telling him how unhappy I was about the whole thing, all he kept saying was well we want to get you to the finish line. If I could have reached out and slapped him, I would have. I told him that all of this could have been avoided and we could have already been finished if they would have just told me on October 18, that I needed another paper for my son to sign.

So, no of course, I have no confidence in this company and I don't trust them.

Today is December 3, papers were signed on November 22, funds were to go to the closing agent on November 27. This was a consolidation cash out refinance to pay off some debt. I have no clue if the funds have been disbursed or how they will be. If things will get paid as needed or if I should pay my mortgage and everything that should have been paid with this refinance.

I have called and e-mailed 5 people, my loan agent is on vacation, and nobody will return my call. When I call Cardinal for loan servicing, they don't have my loan number. And I am getting nowhere with this.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with and I was a Real Estate Agent for 30 years.

BIG mistake choosing them. The only light at the end of the tunnel right now, is my loan will be sold soon, if it ever is finalized that is, and I won't have to deal with Cardinal anymore.

Sent requested info to her Dec 9th, by Dec 28th - no idea what is going on other than ... its a big file that I have to package and send over, I have other closings. When asked for an actual timeline are we looking at next week or next year - no response. Doesnt follow up, doesnt communicate nicely and obviously doesnt put you first or at least the attempt at doing so. We had to pass up one house bc she couldnt get us an answer or info and now we will probably miss another. Lousy service. Lousy follow up.

Really cardinal??? It’s been a month since my review and now you wish to message me about assisting.

I’ve happily already went to a competitor- who has done a wonderful job and closed on my house. I clearly know who not to use next time.

DONT TRUST NOTHING THEY SAY

They are not what they say. We were to close and at the last minute, they informed us we had been 30 days late with that months mortgage payment. I took that months mortgage payment off auto pay because we had received a close date.

This company have made me read reviews on companies before you do business with them. Call Extra Credit Union.

They helped us and even took their appraisal.

We became members during our loan processing. They were great!!!

I'm so sorry anyone have to go though this. It a terrible inconvenience and a awful financial burden. I was advised to seek the assistance of a Regulatory Agency by contacting your local Banking Commission or the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau at www.cfpb.gov Good luck.

Cardinal Financial is a pack of SLEAZY CROOKS!! **PLEASE HELP!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
In December of last year, Cardinal Financial screwed up our mortgage payment and charged us twice. Then they NSF'd both payments and refused all future payments. We had to pay our January mortgage payment **3 different times** before they accepted our payment. For the past 8 months they have been refusing our payments and then unleashing their pit-bull creditors on us - who call us at all hours of the day and night, every day of the week. When their creditors call, they accuse us of criminal activity, deception and non-payment. We have NEVER been late on our payment! We have tried paying them online through their portal, over the phone, by check from different accounts. Always are rejected. Then they have assess fees on our account. They are charging us double the going interest rate. They flat out lie to you on the phone, bait and switch and scam you. The harassment is unbearable. I have made notes of the date and time and recorded their lies and they just state every representative/department is different and has different rules. I have sent multiple letters to them and cc'd them to the Federal Reserve Bank and Fair Housing. I have formally requested a federal audit of their processes and systems. No response. Their vicious creditors still call every day. They still refuse are payments and then charge extra fees. I don't know what to do. They are a TOTAL NIGHTMARE! How can I get them off my back? Please help!

Thanks for the computer generated response but Cardinal Financial has shown NO inclination towards helping or resolving this issue. It took months for you to even respond to my letters of complaint, only to blame me for your errors.

The letter actually made me physically ill. The only thing Cardinal is good at is screwing up and then accusing your victims of criminal activities to cover up the mess you have made!

It doesn't work! We all see through you!

Just an update: They did it again! We sent them a check.

They hold the check. They send their collections pit-bulls after us.

They demand a second payment. Then they cash both payments.

When I advised the Cardinal Financial creditors it was illegal to call outside of business hours, the cheeky little jerk calling Sunday Morning at 7 am sneered, "well, we are open for business!"

Ran credit without permission

The company won't talk to you until you provide all your info, Right, so I did, after talking with an L/O they were unable to provide a loan that I wanted, not due to credit but they just did not have the product I wanted. They still ran my credit without my permission. No one will communicate with me from the company but they call me every week trying to sell me a loan.

Worst Mortgage expericence EVER

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
It took more than three weeks to reach anybody by phone or email to get information to refinance my existing Cardinal load. After finally speaking to someone I was shuffled from department to department and given contradictory information by each person I spoke with. After such a bad experience I went with another mortgage company to refinance. Cardinal refused to provide a pay off letter or copy of Note when requested by new lender. I called Cardinal and was told I had to give authorization for lender to get information but my authorization would only be good for one day. My closing was delayed several times due to Cardinal's non-responsiveness. There was not way to escalate any action within the company. Terrible customer service!!

wrote a review on Charles Sears and got a lying answer back the same day. He did not return our calls or answer emails. I did what he asked me to do, sent him the information, and never got an answer. I also told him I needed the appraisal back that we paid for and said he would get it right out. still waiting. My new lender calls me today and can not wait any longer so, I had to pay another $450.00 because charlie did not send it. What did I pay for? Nothing, so I should be refunded our $450.00 back. If anyone reads this, please think about using them.

They boast as how they are tops at lower interest rates

I was transferred to a second person who sounded like he was on *** He was rambling on and on and asked me for my social security number. I told him, I distinctly told the first gentleman, I just wanted some quoted based on the information I was providing. I did not want an inquiry on my credit. He began questioning me as to why and was not listening to anything I was trying to explain to him. When I asked him if he could just listen to my reason, he told me, that it works both ways. He kept rambling and I said forget it and hung up. Not doing business here.

Refinance runaround

I would not consider Cardinal financial for anything related to home finance. I contacted them on a cash out refinance loan. I paid many accounts off, out of pocket for the appraisal, now, six months later, countless lies and misdirection, and another month of nothing being finalized. Everyone, find another lender. These guys are not qualified, experienced or just plain incompetent.

We started off great with an amazing guy named Josh. Got everything to him he requested within 24 hours.

Then it went to the next person and here we are 4 months later and she’s wanting the some of the same info sent again.

I noticed the air keeps going up and of course lock in fees in the thousands now. Think we will look some place else.

ZERO STARS. Unprofessional. Zero communication skills. Staff poorly trained. Do not know that they are doing

The most unprofessional, unorganized, horrible at communication. You talk to any staff member and they ALL tell you something different. Information and knowledge of their own brand is sad. No one seems to know what they are doing. Honestly surprised their business exists. All talk. Sales pitch will rope you in and the rest of the process is a complete NIGHTMARE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ever going through this business, no matter how the deal sounds.

Guy that spoke with me tried to talk me into a 30 year mortgage when I told him I wanted a 15 year mortgage. He was like YOLO , who knows what will happen in the future, etc.

Then when I went with someone else he got very belligerent. Run, don't walk away from this unethical company and their sales staff.
