DONT USE THEM!
I began my refinance on September 26, 2019. At the time I discussed this with Greg Hanlon, told him everything that I wanted to do with the refinance.
I was told that it would close around Halloween. Immediately I began sending in all of the paperwork that they required. Paid for an obtained the appraisal, checked the dashboard on a daily basis to ensure I was doing everything on my part to get this loan closed in a timely fashion. In past experiences with other companies it took 30-45 days max for a refinance.
I had put my son on the title of the house 2 years prior due to the fact that I am a widow, and wanted to be sure that he got the house with no issues in the case of my death. Of course I told Greg this and there was no issue. On October 18, I sent them an unrecorded quit claim that my son had signed. I never heard another word about it.
But, I never heard about closing, so I began calling after November 1. I received a call finally saying we were ready to close. Set a date and time. When I received the closing paperwork on the dashboard, I noticed that my sons name was on the title.
I e-mailed and called and told them we can just leave it like that and we changed the location for the signing to my sons work so that he could sign as well. 1 hour before closing I get a call that they wanted to cancel the signing. I immediately told them no, we were not canceling the closing and my son would be there. So, after a few minutes I was told OK closing would happen as planned.
I showed up at my sons work, and waited, after an hour past the closing time, I started calling to find out what was going on.
They said, Oh we cancelled that. I said we will not be cancelling and of course I started calling everyone that I had ever talked to. I told them if we cancel, we cancel the entire loan and I will go with someone else. Well, they found a signing agent, and 5 hours after our original closing at 11:00 pm she showed up to do the signing.
Of course this was all while I had guests and was preparing my house for an early Thanksgiving the weekend before Thanksgiving. Talk about stressful!
The entire time I was speaking with the loan agent telling him how unhappy I was about the whole thing, all he kept saying was well we want to get you to the finish line. If I could have reached out and slapped him, I would have. I told him that all of this could have been avoided and we could have already been finished if they would have just told me on October 18, that I needed another paper for my son to sign.
So, no of course, I have no confidence in this company and I don't trust them.
Today is December 3, papers were signed on November 22, funds were to go to the closing agent on November 27. This was a consolidation cash out refinance to pay off some debt. I have no clue if the funds have been disbursed or how they will be. If things will get paid as needed or if I should pay my mortgage and everything that should have been paid with this refinance.
I have called and e-mailed 5 people, my loan agent is on vacation, and nobody will return my call. When I call Cardinal for loan servicing, they don't have my loan number. And I am getting nowhere with this.
This is the worst company I have ever dealt with and I was a Real Estate Agent for 30 years.
BIG mistake choosing them. The only light at the end of the tunnel right now, is my loan will be sold soon, if it ever is finalized that is, and I won't have to deal with Cardinal anymore.

They are not what they say. We were to close and at the last minute, they informed us we had been 30 days late with that months mortgage payment. I took that months mortgage payment off auto pay because we had received a close date.

Really cardinal??? It’s been a month since my review and now you wish to message me about assisting.
I’ve happily already went to a competitor- who has done a wonderful job and closed on my house. I clearly know who not to use next time.
